67% of charity workers said they were happy with their current work situation compared to the average of 51% for all UK workers. And although 19% of charity workers admitted they would like a new job, this remains 5% lower than the national average.
Paid charity work can encompass nearly every career choice, from technology to fundraising to accounting, and with it comes a healthy dose of job satisfaction, it seems.
And although salaries in the not-for-profit sector won’t be as high as in other sectors, benefits like flexible hours, a positive and passionate working environment and, of course, the opportunity to really make a difference, it’s charity workers who go to work with the biggest smiles.
