Shake off those January Blues and get writing, shooting and editing because there are just two short months left to enter the reed.co.uk Short Film Competition.

We know work just wouldn't be work without the boss, so we want you to make a short film about it (three minutes max) and upload it to reed.co.uk/film. Not only will you get the chance to have your films seen by an appreciative audience and an expert panel of judges, you'll also be in with a chance to win one of four top prizes.

What's on offer...

• £1,000 for the People's Choice Award, as voted for by the public
• £1,000 for Judges' Commendation, chosen by a panel.
• £1,000 for Best Animation, chosen by staff at reed.co.uk (we know there are lots of talented animators out there so show us what you've got).

The best twelve will be shortlisted and put before a panel of expert judges who will choose the 2012 winner. Last year Ben Ridolfi and Phil Derham walked away with £10k for their film 'Spread The Word'. Plus, this year, reed.co.uk have partnered with The Hospital Club, who're offering the winning director membership to the club for one year. The shortlisted films will also be screened to their members throughout April and May.

And, as if that wasn't enough, reed.co.uk works with some of the best film festivals including the LSFF and Rushes Soho Shorts. From screenings to industry discussions, the final 12 films will be showcased at various film festivals throughout the UK.
