At, we’re always looking for new ways to improve our service – from making it easier for candidates to find and apply for the best-matching roles, to helping recruiters shortlist the best new talent quickly and efficiently.

Here are four ways we’ve been optimising for our recruiters this month:


We’ve made our job search more intelligent

In 2017, we implemented new job searching technology – which delivered our fastest, best-matching job search results yet.

But we didn’t stop there.

Since the start of the year we’ve added further optimisations to make searching with us more intuitive. Recent updates include:

  • Multi-word synonym matching (e.g. ‘PA’ now recognised as meaning both ‘Personal Assistant’, and ‘Secretary’)
  • Abbreviation recognition (e.g. BDM now recognised as Business Development Manager)

This enables us to deliver a greater number of relevant results per search, giving your vacancies added exposure and more applications.


We’ve sped up the application process 

To help make applications as quick and easy as possible, candidates can now apply for jobs on using their LinkedIn profile – in place of uploading a CV.

No more missed opportunities. Just an easier way to apply (and a higher number of applications across all of your vacancies).



We’ve made it easier to sign up

Jobseekers can now sign up – and sign in – to just by using their Facebook or Google profile.

The introduction of social sign-in will make it even easier for the candidates you need to access and start applying for your jobs – no matter what device they’re using.



We’ve introduced ‘easy apply’

Job ads which don’t require a cover letter, the completion of screening questions or any subsequent application form are now marked with an ‘easy apply’ badge on our jobseeker mobile app.

This simple features reassures candidates that the application process will be fast and simple, which is especially helpful when job searching on a mobile device.



We’ve made the hiring process faster for recruiters

We know you want to reach the right candidates faster – and that’s why we’ve introduced instant CV alerts. Now you’ll have the option to receive an email notification as soon as a candidate registers that matches your saved search.

How do you set them up? Simple. Just sign in to your recruiter account and next to your saved search, select ‘instant’ as the alert frequency.
