Rebranding our jobseeker experience

From today, we’re introducing a new brand identity for Reed.co.uk for our jobseeker audience across our Jobs, Courses and Career Advice propositions. This includes a new logo, a new colour palette and a renewed vision for Reed.co.uk.

 

Behind the rebrand

Looking for work has changed. 

For many people, the effects of the pandemic and associated lockdown restrictions led to a fair amount of career uncertainty and upheaval. We saw an irreversible rise in flexible, remote working and a huge increase in people reskilling and switching industries in their search for a new role – changing the world of work irrevocably.  

In fact, 70% of jobseekers say they are now open to changing the sector they work in to find the right opportunity and over half (52%) are willing to relocate. Additionally, two-thirds (66%) of jobseekers spent time in 2020 learning new skills, with the main ambition being to improve their career prospects in 2021.*

We know that careers no longer follow a linear path – which is why we felt it was important to reflect this in our offering for Reed.co.uk’s jobseekers.

 

Becoming a destination for careers

As well as a new logo, colour palette and brand experience (which can be seen right across our Jobs, Courses and Career Advice pages) we’ve introduced a new vision across Reed.co.uk to: connect people to a world of career opportunities online.

This reflects the fact that we’re more than just a jobs site. We’re a destination for people to take control of their careers. So no matter what a jobseeker is looking for, or what stage of their career they’re at, we’re here for what’s next.

We do this by facilitating 100,000 job applications every day for the 11 million jobseekers that turn to Reed.co.uk every month in search of their next job. We do this by advertising 70,000 courses on all manner of topics. And we do this by delivering career advice for hundreds of thousands of users every month with access to thousands of articles with expert tips and advice on CVs, cover letters, interviews, professional development and more. All in order to provide our customers – you – with engaged, motivated jobseekers for your vacancies.

 

What this means for you, as a recruiter

Every year, we help over 30,000 recruiters fulfil their online recruitment needs by offering integrated solutions for job advertising and applicant management. Recruiters and hiring managers can also search our CV Database with over 20 million candidates.

Reed.co.uk’s new vision, underpinned by this fresh new brand for jobseekers, will deliver you a wide and engaged talent pool, filled with both active and passive jobseekers who are inspired to take action, try something new, learn new skills and find their next role. 

We don’t intend to leave the rebrand here. In time, we’ll be freshening up our look across our Recruiter experience too – we’ll let you know when you can expect to see changes to the Recruiter site.
