This International GCSE Geography Course will help you develop your knowledge and understanding of geographical concepts and appreciate the relevance of these concepts to our changing world. You will be able to appreciate that people have different views of, and attitudes to, the world, its environments and its issues.
The course will allow you to acquire, develop and apply practical geographical enquiry skills. You will also be able to undertake geographical investigations that include both primary and secondary data collection, presentation and analysis, drawing conclusions, and evaluating the whole geographical investigation.

- Coastal environments
- Hazardous environments
- Economic activity and energy
- Rural environments
- Urban environments
- Fieldwork from one of these topics - Global issues (Fragile environments and climate change, Globalisation and migration, Development and human welfare)
IGCSE Geography Edexcel: 4GE1
There are two exams for this IGCSE, of which are 1 hour 10 mins long and 1 hour 45 mins long. Grades 9-1 are available.
This course can also be taken under the awarding organisation Cambridge International Examinations (CIE)
IGCSE Geography CIE: 0976
There are three exams for this IGCSE, one of which is 1 hour 45 minutes and the other two are 1 hours 30 minutes long. Grades 9-1 are available.
Who is this course for?
A Distance Learning Course is the ideal way to gain a qualification without having the worry of trying to fit your studies around your everyday life. You can complete your studies in your own time and we are on hand seven days a week to help you plan your future.
You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this course. This course is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy. You have the freedom to start the course at any time and continue your studies at your own pace for a period of up to 12 months from initial registration with the full support of your Tutor.
International GCSE Geography could lead on to further study in Geography at A-level or more vocationally-related courses.
