HACCP Level 3 Food Safety course online. EU regulation 852/2004 requires that all food business have a food safety management system in place based on HACCP principles and that those responsible for the safety of food have appropriate training in HACCP.

Whether you are working in a restaurant, delicatessen counter, or small food outlet, you are, so far is as reasonably practicable, responsible for your health, the health of your co-workers, employees, and the general public. It is vital therefore that you are aware of the potential risks when preparing food.

The objective of this HACCP Level 3 course is to enable you to achieve compliance in an effective and efficient way. This accelerated, accredited, cost-effective course covers each stage of the HACCP food safety system, supporting candidates in developing the knowledge and skills required to identify common hazards and to prevent food contamination.

Description

This training helps to develop understanding of HACCP–based food safety management and how it is best implemented and maintained in a food business or organisation.

On completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Outline the need for, and importance of, HACCP-based food safety management systems
  • Describe the HACCP approach to food safety procedures
  • Review the legislation relating to HACCP
  • Describe the importance of prerequisite programmes and what they should contain
  • Evaluate HACCP based procedures through documentation and record keeping procedures
  • Explain and evaluate the five preliminary steps in the logical application of HACCP
  • Identify hazards and risks in a food preparation or production process
  • Determine critical control points (CCP) for significant hazards and establish critical limits
  • Describe the procedures required for monitoring CCPs and the corrective action procedures when CCPs fail
  • Outline the review and verification requirements for HACCP-based systems

The course is divided into simple sections with a short quiz at the end of each to test your knowledge. Once you have progressed through each of the course sections you can complete an end of course quiz which consists of multiple-choice questions based on the material that you have studied.

Once you have passed the course you can download your fully accredited CPD certificate (PDF format) directly from your learning account.

Duration and Time Limit

The HACCP Level course takes approximately 90 minutes to complete, although there is no time limit and you can do it in your own time and in stages.

Certificate

Completing this course is the perfect way to prove your knowledge of food safety and hygiene. The certificate achieved is fully registered with the CPD Standards Office and endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality and BIIAB.

You don’t need to have any previous training to do this course.

In order to complete this course, you must achieve 70% or more in the final multiple-choice quiz.
