By exploring the use of language, best practice and the law, this course will enable you to curate a safe, enabling, and thriving workplace environment.

Description
This half-day interactive workshop has been developed to create an inclusive space for those who want to better understand and support their transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
With an emphasis on curiosity and kindness we will discuss some of the unique experiences, assumptions, joys, and challenges faced by transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people.
We will explore the use of language, best practice, the importance of community, as well as the breadth of experiences and needs. We will listen to personal stories about identity affirming steps we can take as individuals and organisations as well as reflecting on how we can reduce the ways in which we may harm.
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who wants to better understand transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people in the workplace, and beyond. This course welcomes attendees at every stage of their career and is open to anyone who wants to curate a safe, enabling, and thriving workplace environment.
