During the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting course, you'll master more complex financial processes, including VAT for businesses, management accounting costing techniques, advanced spreadsheet skills, and preparing final accounts. You'll also build business awareness through an in-depth look at economics, digital technology, ethics, business structures.
The first part of this combined qualification, the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting consists of four separate units. They are:
- Introduction to Bookkeeping
- Principles of Bookkeeping Controls
- Principles of Costing
- The Business Environment
The second part of this combined qualification, the AAT Level 3 Diploma course also consists of four separate units. They are:
- Preparing Financial Statements
- Management Accounting Techniques
- Tax Processes for Businesses

Assessments:
There are four computer-based assessments for the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting course, and four computer-based assessments for the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting course, all of which you’ll sit at an AAT exam centre.
You’ll also complete online mock tests throughout your course to ensure you’re well-prepared for your exams.
