Wood finishing techniques explore sanding, smoothing, staining, varnishing, polishing, and waxing to improve durability and appearance. Building first woodworking projects guides learners through simple projects such as a wooden box, a basic bookshelf, and a picture frame.
Understanding woodworking plans focuses on reading, interpreting, and creating basic plans. The course concludes with troubleshooting and maintenance, addressing common woodworking problems, tool maintenance, sharpening, and future project planning.

Upon successful completion of the Woodworking 101: Mastering the Basics course, learners receive a free digital certificate provided by Reed confirming course completion.
