Description
Day 1: Hack your way to becoming a marketing leader
Kicking off your management Programme, Jack Lowman, author of “Hack Yourself” and Senior Head of Marketing at The Prince’s Trust, will lead an interactive session that challenges you to take a modern, fast-paced approach to your self-development.
Based on extensive research including insight from chief executives, directors and founders of businesses from across the marketing and advertising industries as well as the UK’s most vulnerable young people who have gone on to achieve remarkable success, this session explores how you can apply the principles of hacking to inform your personal and professional development.
Day 2 (AM): Numbers to get you noticed
As a young marketer moving up through the ranks, the prospect of drawing up and managing a budget, evaluating the ROI of a campaign and reporting on both to finance can seem a daunting prospect. Particularly if your memories of using Excel are a bit hazy.
In this valuable session Tim Hamill will take you through the basics of budgeting and finance for marketers. Numbers may not be your thing but we guarantee that after this session you'll feel more confident working with them and more prepared to take responsibility in a way that's bound to get you noticed back at work.
Day 2 (PM): Your personal communication style
Presentation skills become ever more important as you enter more senior roles in marketing, however they are often overlooked when we talk about professional development. Whether it's presenting to a client or your company’s senior management team, the ability to confidently and effectively articulate your ideas go a long way to show you're ready for the next step up.
Focusing on practical ways to increase your confidence, John Scarrott will help you find your personal communication style enabling you to present with increased credibility, professionalism and impact in this informative session.
Day 3: Becoming an authentic leader
In today’s volatile and uncertain world, there has never been a greater need for strong leadership at all levels. Yet often we are called up into leadership roles without having the opportunity to first fully explore what this means for us and how we can lead in a way that feels congruent to our values, beliefs, strengths and purpose. Emma Shelton-Smith, Leadership Coach and talent consultant, leads the final day of our programme, providing you with a much deeper understanding of your authentic brand of leadership, covering:
- Management versus leadership
- The role of the leader
- Who are you as a leader?
- Building authenticity
- Staying on course as a leader
