The Distance Learning Teaching Assistant course consists of a number of modules and each one relates to a particular aspect that is important and relevant to the role of a teaching assistant.

Description

For the Teaching Assistant Level 3 course you will cover the following content:-

Unit 1: Supporting learning through activities

Unit 2: Learning through play

Unit 3: Developing positive behaviour

Unit 4: Becoming an effective team member

Unit 5: Early years curriculum planning

Unit 6: Supporting pupils with particular needs

You must successfully complete a series of assignments. Once all assignments and activities have been completed satisfactorily, you will then be awarded your certificate. The good news is, there is no final exam.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).

Requirements

With experience, you could become a senior assistant or apply for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) role. You could also train as a teacher.
