Description
This course introduces the knowledge base required to understand the responsibilities and professional environment of a Social worker. Through structured written modules, learners explore how social care services operate and how professionals respond to diverse social needs.
The curriculum begins with the foundations of social work and progresses to ethics, legal frameworks and relationship-based approaches that shape the work of a Social worker. Theoretical perspectives from sociology are then examined to explain how society, culture and institutions influence individuals and communities.
Team collaboration, assessment models and casework processes are presented to demonstrate how professionals coordinate support services and evaluate individual circumstances.
