The computerised accounting software is essential if you work in accounting sector as accounting technician, accounts assistant or simply carry out the bookkeeping tasks for your business. It is therefore important to learn the main features of Sage accounting software in order to be confident in managing day-to-day business transactions.
Sage accounting software allows you to manage your customers’ and suppliers’ details, process invoices, credit notes, payments, bank reconciliation and petty cash. There are a number of Sage accounting software packages; however, the most popular of them are Sage 50 and Sage business cloud.
Assessment
The unit is assessed by Computer-Based Assessments (CBA). The CBAs are flexible and can be taken at any time. We are an approved AAT CBA centre and offer a flexible CBA service on weekday, weekends and evenings.
Course duration
The duration of the course can range from 1 to 3 months depending on your methods of study – full or part time. We offer evening sessions (3 hours each) and day sessions (6 hours each) including weekends. The teaching hours do not include the final assessment.
There is no entry criteria or work experience required for this course. It is advisable to have English language proficiency and a relevant level of math skills. This course is ideal if you are leaving school or college, returning to work or simply want to change your career.
You must be comfortable in using computer/laptop to achieve this qualification.
After this qualification you can further progress to level 2 and 3 bookkeeping and accounting qualifications.
