Overview

Python Basic Programming for Absolute Beginners is an introductory course aimed at individuals who have little or no prior programming experience. The course covers the fundamental concepts of Python programming language, including basic syntax, data types, operators, control structures, functions, and file handling. The course also introduces students to regular expressions and game development using Python.

Throughout the course, students will learn how to set up a Python environment, write and execute Python programs, and solve simple problems using Python. By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in Python programming and be able to write basic Python programs on their own.

Description

The course is divided into thirteen sections. Section 01 provides an introduction to the course and outlines the course objectives. Section 02 introduces students to Python and explains how to set up a Python environment. Section 03 covers the basic concepts of Python programming, including variables, data types, and operators.

In Section 04, students will learn about strings in Python, including string concatenation, slicing, and formatting. Section 05 covers Python operators, including arithmetic, comparison, and logical operators. Section 06 introduces Python sequences, including lists, tuples, and dictionaries.

In Section 07, students will learn about Python statements, including conditional statements and loops. Section 08 covers control flow statements in Python, including a break, continue, and pass statements. In Section 09, students will learn how to develop simple games using Python.

Section 10 covers Python functions, including defining and calling functions, and using parameters and return statements. Section 11 explains how to work with file structures in Python, including reading and writing files. Section 12 covers regular expressions in Python, including pattern matching and substitution.

Finally, in Section 13, students will apply their knowledge of Python programming to complete a project.

How is the course assessed?

Upon completing an online module, you will immediately be given access to a specifically crafted MCQ test. For each test, the pass mark will be set to 60%.
