Online Telemarketing Course
RFP Learning
Summary
Overview
One strategy to market products is through the use of telephone—this strategy is referred to as telemarketing. To make a sale, the seller must able to get the customer to need the product and make a purchase. As complicated as it sounds, it is possible to do it over the phone, with the use of rapport and effective communication skills.
A sense of urgency is another important factor, and the seller must know not only how to create it, but also to get it across. Since the transaction is done over the phone, the telemarketer has to listen actively to be able to respond correctly with a pleasant and convincing tone.
Naturally, product knowledge is crucial. The telemarketer has to have an in-depth understanding of the product and its value. More importantly, the telemarketer has to believe in the product and its worth, so they can sound believable over the phone and make those sales.
