The OAL Level 3 Award in Planning and Supervision of Warehouse Operations is designed to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the planning and supervision of warehouse operations. It prepares aspiring warehouse supervisors and managers by providing them with the necessary understanding to enable them to perform their role.

Learners will gain an understanding of the warehouse's role within a supply chain, the factors involved in planning the receipt and storage of inbound and outbound goods to fulfil operational needs, the necessary equipment for warehouse activities, as well as the relevant legislation, compliance, and health and safety regulations. Additionally, they will learn about the principles of costing and trade-offs in warehouse operations, and how to supervise the work of a team in a warehouse setting.

The course comprises one mandatory unit - The Planning and Supervision of Warehouse Operations (10 credits). The unit is broken down into small, separate areas, using easily accessible learning materials through our Virtual Learning Environment.

Successful learners can progress onto the Level 5 Diploma in Logistics Management or add further learning at Level 3 all available through The Business School.

In addition, The Business School offers additional learning through CPD units in areas such as Logistics Concepts, Change Management, People Management, Communication and Change. These small blocks of learning are accredited by The CPD Standards Office, and therefore offer certificated learning to be added to your CV and the opportunity to further develop your learning.

The course offers additional support through Learning Styles Questionnaire, Completion Plan and tutor support.

This qualification is designed for learners who are potential supervisors and aspiring managers, working or wish to work in the warehousing sector and want to further their knowledge and understanding in this area.

There are no formal entry requirements for learners selecting this qualification although Learners would benefit from having some prior knowledge of the warehousing and storage industry and have the potential and opportunity to achieve the qualification successfully.
