The Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (IQA) is the nationally recognised (RQF) internal verification qualification in the UK and beyond.

UNIT NO 1
Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment
This unit provides a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical principles and practices of internal quality assurance. It covers topics such as the purpose and requirements of quality assurance, the roles and responsibilities of internal quality assurers and the procedures for maintaining and improving the quality of assessment.
UNIT NO 2
Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment
This unit focuses on the practical aspects of conducting internal quality assurance of assessment processes. It includes developing and implementing quality assurance plans, providing feedback and support to assessors and monitoring and evaluating the practice of assessors .
Course Assessment
This course is assessed in a number of ways:
Complete written assessments
Complete a Personal Statement
Course Duration
The course has a 12 month expiry and you must complete within this time. Most learners will complete this qualification in 2-4 months although it can be completed quicker.
Course Type
This is a distance learning course. You will not be required to attend a training centre to complete this qualification.
You will be provided with a named tutor who will be available remotely or email to assist you when required.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements, however, learners should have a minimum of level 2 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
The qualification is suitable for learners of 19 years of age and above.
You must already be in an role supporting two assessors who each have two learners.
