This course introduces various software testing approaches and stages, including the principles of test-driven development. You will learn techniques for identifying and resolving bugs, along with strategies for preventing issues before they arise. Additionally, you will gain an understanding of deployment and ongoing maintenance, covering key areas such as maintenance planning, configuration management, and version control systems.
This course has five units:
- Coding requirements and planning
- Understanding coding design
- Implementation of coding
- Software testing
- Understand deployment, maintenance and configuration management

This course is for anyone who wants to enhance their knowledge and skills surrounding coding practices
Requirements
Eligibility criteria applies, to be eligible, you must:
- Currently live in England
- Be aged 24+ (if you are aged 19-23, please still get in touch as we may have alternative funding available in your area.)
- Earn below £25,000 per year
*Please note there is a £125 cancellation fee if a learner enrols and fails to complete or withdraws early from the course. This fee is to cover administration costs. We may be able to offer extensions if learners are unable to meet the set submission deadline. Please read the declaration on the enrolment form carefully before signing up.
