The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement course is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environments).

Description

This course enables the student to understand how to assess competence in the work environment as well as teaching them the practices and principles of assessment. The course is intended for anyone who assesses progress in their work environment.

Course Length

We facilitate the course online through an e-learning portal which allows you to work through the course at your own pace; with easy access to tutors and the helpdesk to ease your progression. The guided learning hours for this course is 84 hours, the course is achievable within 6-12 weeks, however, you will have 12 months as a course expiry date.

What Will You Study?

There are 3 mandatory units in the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement. These are:

‘Understanding Principles and Practices of Assessment’

‘Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment’

‘Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding’

Who is this course for?

This course is for anyone who is considering a career in evaluating vocational competencies for a range of qualifications, such as apprenticeships, functional skills, teaching certificates, NVQs, awards, certificates and diplomas.

Requirements

No previous experience or qualifications are required to enrol on this course; it is available to all students who are least 19 years of age.

During this course, you will be required to secure a placement in a relevant environment; the team at Future Step Education can advise more on this.

For the second and third assignments, you will need to secure your placement or position which will allow you to have access to the assessment to nationally regulated qualifications (for example: NVQ units, RQF Qualifications, etc.)
