ITIL® is a widely accepted approach to IT Service Management (ITSM), which has been adopted by individuals and organizations across the world. This provides a cohesive set of best practices, drawn from the public and private sectors internationally. ITIL® advocates that IT services are aligned to the needs of the business and support its core processes. It provides guidance to organizations and individuals on how to use IT as a tool to facilitate business change, transformation and growth. The ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management is the entry level examination for the scheme. There are no prerequisites for entry to this examination.
