Description

IOSH Working Safely is designed for people at any level where health and safety is critical to their role. Especially suitable for new starters, this thorough one-day course will provide an essential introduction to the basics of safety in the workplace, from identifying potential issues to taking practical steps to limit them wherever possible.

Because this course focuses on best practice rather than legislation, it's suitable for candidates from around the world, and not just those from the UK. With this in mind, it’s also jargon-free and full of practical, real-world examples that delegates will be able to relate to their own working environments. A host of interactive study modules, PDF texts, exam simulations, practice questions, knowledge checks and videos are provided too.

With IOSH Working Safely, there’s minimum disruption to working days and shifts. The one-day programme includes the assessment, so there’s no extra time required for a test after the course.

Course overview

The course is divided into four modules:

  1. Introducing working safely
  2. Defining hazard and risk
  3. Identifying common hazards
  4. Improving safety performance.

Assessment depends on how you choose to study.

If you study in the classroom the multiple-choice examination and hazard spotting exercise are completed at the end of the course.

If you study online, the course and assessment must be completed within five months of registration.
