Hi Mark Our one to one learners usually charge £30 per session but through once booked into our exams service this support is reduced to £25 per session. A session lasts an hour and is delivered via video link, so is 1-2-1 in real time and as a result the lessons cover a lot of ground in a short period of time. On average learners have around 4 lessons in total before passing their level 2 English, so an additional £100 on top of the course and exam fee.

Hi Miles We provide an examiner to mark an exam paper for you, then you can then get access to a tutor later in the course if required. The tuition is charged at £25 per session to those signed up to our exam. On average people tend to opt for 3-4 lessons so you can add £75 to £100 to the cost of the advertised price if you decide to opt for tuition. The tutors are qualified and experienced functional skills teachers and tuition always occurs on a one to one basis.

For the speaking and listening component of the exam, there is a set of criteria you have to meet in order to pass, this criteria is outlined in the guidance that is given when you prepare for this part of the exam.
