Description

Course Structure

It's highly flexible - live online classrooms during lunchtimes, evenings, and weekends make it easy to fit learning around work commitments. They're also recorded so they can be watched and re-watched as many times as needed.

The study materials have been specially designed for online learning by AAT and distance learning experts, and they’re split into bite-sized sections so they’re easy to follow from home or on the go.

It should take around 280 hours to complete.

This course covers accounting principles and concepts, preparing financial statements for sole traders and partnerships, indirect tax (known as VAT in the UK) issues in business, and advanced-level spreadsheet software. Throughout, it provides a firm grounding in professional bookkeeping ethics.

The course consists of three units:

  • Advanced Bookkeeping
  • Final Accounts Preparation
  • Indirect Tax

Student Support

Students will be supported by their personal AAT tutor. As well as being AAT experts and professional accountants, all our tutors are specialists in distance learning. Our student support coordinators are also on hand to help delegates navigate course materials and any technical issues that may arise.

The course is accredited by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), the UK’s largest professional body for accounting technicians. AAT qualifications are the gold standard in practical accounting - they train over 70,000 people around the world each year, and award more than 90% of all vocational accounting qualifications.

The AAT Advanced Certificate in Bookkeeping (AQ2016 Syllabus) is worth 28 UCAS credits. It sits on the Qualifications and Credit Framework at Level 3, or Level 6 in the Scottish system.

Additional Fees
