The AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting is an intermediate level qualification that's perfect if you're already working in accounting and are looking to develop your skills. It's also ideal if you've completed the Foundation Certificate/Level 2 Certificate in Accounting and want to continue your professional development.

It'll give you real-world technical accounting knowledge that you can use in your job from day one.

You'll master advanced bookkeeping and final accounts, and further your knowledge of spreadsheets for accounting. You'll learn management costing techniques, and understand VAT issues in business. You'll also cover professional ethics for accountants.

The course is accredited by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), the UK’s largest professional body for accounting technicians, so it’s internationally recognised and sought-after by employers.

It's highly flexible, so you can set your own timetable and study at your own pace. Live online classrooms during lunchtimes, evenings, and weekends make it easy to fit learning around your life.

You can get started right away with a small deposit, and pay the rest with an interest-free payment plan.

The Advanced Diploma in Accounting(AQ2016 Syllabus) is worth 53 UCAS credits. It sits on the Qualifications and Credit Framework at Level 3, or Level 6 in the Scottish system.

It should take you around 520 hours to complete.

Who is this course for?

The Advanced Diploma in Accounting is ideal if you've got a Foundation Certificate in Accounting qualification (or Level 2 Certificate, as it was previously known), or if you're currently working in an accounting role. You should have good numeracy skills and attention to detail.

Requirements

You must be over 19, and if English isn't your first language, you'll need an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent.
