Overview

The Distance Learning Zoology Level 3 course is a fully comprehensive course as it provides you with an understanding of the theories regarding the origins of life, explains the nature and function of cells and explores the taxonomic classification system so that you will be able to identify and group species.

Description

For the Zoology Level 3 course you will cover the following content:-

Module 1: Organisms (an introduction to the living world)

Module 2: Evolution, reproduction and maintenance of species

Module 3: Taxonomy & simple organisms

Module 4: Complex invertebrates

Module 5: Complex vertebrates

Module 6: Maintaining life in the animal kingdom

You must successfully complete a series of assignments. Once all assignments and activities have been completed satisfactorily, you will then be awarded your certificate. The good news is, there is no final exam.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course)

Requirements

You do not need any prior learning knowledge or experience to take this home study course. This course is openly available to anyone who wishes to take part in a highly rewarding home study course, although you would be expected to have a reasonable standard of literacy.

Career path


You could work in small or large zoos and safari parks owned privately or by charities. You could work with mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds and fish.

You could also work in sea zoos and aquariums.

In larger zoos, you could progress with further training to jobs such as Zookeeper, or team leader. With experience and a degree, you could become a curator.
