Polish is a West Slavic language, it is the native language of the Polish people and spoken by millions of people in countries including the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States. There are over 55 million Polish speakers around the world and it is one of the official languages of the European Union. There are 38 million people native speakers in Poland which makes up 98% of the total population.
