Wedding floristry is an unusual and very rewarding professions insofar as it combines a diverse variety of skills and abilities. It offers a wide range of possibilities in terms of employment or self-employment, full time or part time, and requires intensive customer service as you work with clients to plan the flowers for their wedding event.

As a florist, you have the opportunity to use your creativity in marketing, display and production, and if you enjoy crafts, you are highly likely to excel at floristry. You will need excellent organisational skills and a sharp sense of timing. There will be occasions when you will need to think fast and respond to changing circumstances so that you can improvise solutions using your knowledge and creativity.

While there is a variety of basic flower arrangements, there are always new arrangements to learn. However, this course assumes that you already have a background knowledge of basic floristry techniques.
