Description

Who is this training course for?

This course is for those who cook, produce or handle food, which is then supplied to members of the public. It is also suitable for food workers who have specific responsibilities in manufacturing, retail or catering business. It ensures that those who work with food are aware of the threats that could be made by an individual or group to intentionally contaminate food to cause harm to the consumer or harm business reputation.

Course aim

This course aims to give you a good level of knowledge and understanding relating to TACCP (Threat Assessment and Critical Control Point) and VACCP (Vulnerability Assessment and Critical Control Point) in a food environment.

Training course content

This course is made up of the following modules:

  • Introduction to TACCP and VACCP
  • Module 1 What are TACCP and VACCP
  • Module 2 Considerations for Developing a Food Defence System
  • Module 3 The TACCP Approach to Assessing Threats and Vulnerabilities

Learning objectives

Once the learner has completed the course, they will be able to:

  • Explain the difference between TACCP/ VACCP and HACCP
  • List the six practical steps to implement a TACCP assessment
  • Explain the importance of reviewing TACCP assessment documentation

Course duration

This course should take approximately 90 minutes to complete, but ultimately this is dependent on you as the learner.

Learners will complete a 1 hour of CPD Learning which equates to 1 CPD Point.

Assessment

On completion of the course, you will be required to take an online assessment that will consist of 30 multiple-choice questions.

Successful candidates will have scored 75% (23) or above and will be given the option to print the certificate directly from the computer printer.

TACCP & VACCP Training Certification

On successful completion of the online course assessment, the candidate will be able to print/save their TACCP & VACCP certificate. In addition to this, an email is sent to the candidate containing a link to the certificate.

This is the simplest, most convenient way to achieve compliance. Also, a QR code has been added to the certificate, which can be scanned by a smartphone to establish the certificate’s validity.
