Strokes are common and while people may die of it, there are so many ways to prevent a stroke, and in the case someone has a stroke, there is emergency treatment that can be provided with immediate effect. There are some ways you can recognise if a patient is susceptible to a stroke, figure their best chance of recovery and, thus, minimise long-term impact. If you wish to, or already work in the health and adult care sector, this is something you should be fully aware of just in case of an emergency. The Stroke Awareness course is comprehensive and provides a wealth of information on the different types of strokes, symptoms and risk elements. You will gain the relevant skills and knowledge on how to reduce the risk of strokes and understand the immediate treatment required in such a situation.

Key modules are fully explored in this course and will give you an understanding of how to recognise symptoms and what course of action you should take when someone is having a stroke. You will also gain the ability to administer medical treatment to ensure the person having a stroke has a positive outcome and eventual recovery.

Stroke Awareness features advice and guidance on key stages of a stroke and the complications that can result in an individual who has suffered a stroke. Method of Assessment

In order to qualify in the course ‘Stroke Awareness’ successfully, learners will take an online test. This online test is marked automatically, so you will receive an instant grade and know whether you have passed the course.

Pass Mark: 70%

Special Note:

You are given 3 attempts at each module. If a module is failed on the third attempt, it will become locked and you need to contact us for the module to be unlocked again. You are only permitted up to 3 extra attempts per course.

Learners can take the exam up to 3 times, and if not successful, should repay the course fee and start again.

Certification

Upon the successful completion of the course, you will be awarded the ‘Stroke Awareness’ Certificate.

Access Duration

The course will be directly delivered to you, and you have 12 months access to the online learning platform from the date you joined the course. The course is self-paced and you can complete it in stages, revisiting the lessons at any time.
