This course provides safeguarding training to assist you in making sure that you meet these requirements. It will help you to recruit staff or volunteers in schools, academies, colleges or other organisations that provide services to children and their families. This course has been developed in line with the Department for Education’s ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education (2015)’ guidance. Upon completion of this course you will acquire the safeguarding skills you need to better protect children through recruiting staff and volunteers to roles in education.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
