Take the boredom out of proofreading and catch every spelling mistake, no matter how small, with our one day Proofreading course. Our expert trainers will guide you through the world of proofreading, from understanding what it actually is to common errors in grammar and spelling.
This Proofreading course explains general proofreading strategies and provides you with a comprehensive checklist. Throughout the day there will be a mix of individual and group work, with plenty of discussion in between. Over the day you will cover:

- writing style – readability, general points and consistency
- identifying and applying house style
- getting organised
- proofreading strategies and techniques
- online tools for editing and proofreading
- proofreading symbols and how to use them

- common errors in grammar and punctuation

- understanding format and layout
- print and online resources
- style and proofreading checklists
