NLP Sports

About us

Our key aims include to increase sports participation amongst children and young people. In addition to making sport participation more available, we aim to educate and open more pathways for individuals to succeed be it competitively or as a trainer or coach in a range of different activities and sports.

Our  programmes range from a list of popular activities including football, and fitness. Our programmes aim to work with councils and reach individuals from inner city and deprived local communities.

We are dedicated to working with local schools and colleges by offering ambitious individuals a practical course in football coaching at the highest standard using one of our reputable football academies. We offer a work placement to provide the youth with a platform to go on to coach at the highest level by gaining invaluable experience of coaching at a competitive level, education on understanding the football industry, and the opportunity to gain an excellent reference and possibly a permanent coaching role.

Why choose us

Newham has placed the Education and Skills Act (2008) as a one of the agendas they would like to improve on and although the percentage of 16-18 year olds living in Newham who were defined as NEET (Not in education, employment, or training) is down 1% from 2011 to 2015, Newham still has the 3rd highest proportion of 16-18 year olds in NEET with only Barking & Dagenham and Tower Hamlets as the boroughs with slightly more. With risk factors associated with long term NEET such as young people gaining less than 5 GCSE’s between grade A to C, deprivation, and low levels of support, it is vital that our program continues to help combat this. Where we are best placed to combat this is by working alongside other organisations to increase the youth’s employability skills by providing training and to prepare them for further education and full time employment.
