PRINCE2

PRINCE2 project management is used in approximately 50 countries worldwide and is by far the most popular project management methodology used in the UK in the private and public sectors.

Gaining a PRINCE2 certification is highly recommended if you are working or wanting to work in a PRINCE2 environment as being PRINCE2 certified is a prerequisite for many project management opportunities (especially in the UK). A PRINCE2 certification is an HR tick-box requirement for many UK private and public sector organisations.

PMP

PMP (Project Management Professional) is one of the most industry-recognised certifications for Project Managers. Globally recognised and demanded, PMP demonstrates that you have the experience, education and competency to lead and direct projects.

This recognition is through increased marketability to employers and higher salary expectations.

Contrary to what some Project Managers think, PRINCE2 and PMP complement each other well as PRINCE2 is methodology-based whereas the PMP course is more techniques-focussed.
