The accredited Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O®) Foundation e-learning course provides you with a full understanding of the Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O) method, its’ key principles and terminology and, therefore, fully prepares you for the foundation examination. It is broken into bite-size sessions, combining leading-edge multimedia and interactive exercises for optimum enjoyment and knowledge retention. The Foundation course will enable you to gain sufficient knowledge and understanding of the P3O guidance to interact effectively with, or act as an informed member of, an office within a P3O model.
The Foundation certification is an entry requirement for the Practitioner certification.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the P3O Foundation e-learning course you should be able to know and understand the:
• high-level P3O model and its component offices,
• differences between Portfolio, Programme and Project Management,
• key functions and services of a P3O,
• reasons for establishing a P3O model,
• differences between types of P3O model and the factors that influence selection of the most appropriate model,
• processes to implement or re-energize a P3O,
• tools and techniques used by a P3O,
• purpose and major responsibilities of the defined roles.

The Accreditation body is the AXELOS.
Exam information:
• computer-based exam format, taken online via Online Proctoring. The Online Proctoring solution allows you to take exams online at your preferred time and location, using a webcam, microphone and a stable internet connection. Valid ID is required to take the exam.
• consisting of 75 multiple-choice questions (including 5 trial questions). Pass mark score is 35 out of 70 available (50%),
• examination duration – 1 hour,
• closed book examination.
There is no re-certification requirement; the P3O® Foundation is a lifetime certification.
