Section 1 – Introduction to Photoshop for Designers

Section 3 – Using Photoshop Tools
During this lecture, we will dive deep into the toolbox of Adobe Photoshop and master some of the common and important tools of the photoshop for graphic designers eco-system. In this part of the lecture, we will start by introducing you to the very basic Move tool. The tool is the primary selection tool that is used to select and move every object in Photoshop. It is also used to transform the images, text, frames and vector objects to required sizes. You will also be introduced to the options of the Move tool that are displayed in the Control Panel window. An important feature that you can learn is the Auto-Select option that helps you to select any required object in just one click.
In this new lecture, you will learn various techniques that will allow you to fill the colors in Photoshop software. The tips you will learn are comprised of both Manual and Technical terms. To improve your efficiency and get convenient with the fast pace of working atmospheres, we will teach you how to do the job with the help of the Hotkeys that will save more time and effort. Apart from that, you will also know how to use a paint bucket and ink filler to select and fill the colors in Photoshop. Once you are finished with the colors lecture, we quickly move into the Brush lecture.
Here, you are introduced to the brush tools in the toolbox. It is one of the comprehensive tools that are available in Photoshop. You will know the difference between filling your document with color and using brush tool which gives you more control over using the colors to paint or even fill an intricate surface of your document. You will also know about the brush libraries and how to increase and decrease the brush sizes as per your requirement. You will learn to select various brushes in various sizes, shapes, and textures. Above that, we teach you how to create your own brushes by tweaking the properties of the existing brushes. Lastly, you will learn about the Pencil tool, which works similar to the brush tool but with much sharper edges and Color adjustment tool that is used to paint a color on any desired object without completing fading away from the detail of the object.
In the next chapter, we will take you through the healing tool. Here you will learn the four tools of the healing tool group those are Healing Brush tool, Spot Healing Brush tool, Patch tool, and the Red-eye tool. We will quickly take you through the introduction of using healing tool to adjust the images or photographs that are damaged. You will learn to easily fix the photographs by using the healing brush tool. Later you will learn how to correct or remove the unwanted spots on your websites by using the spot healing brush tool. You will also come to know about the patch tool that helps you to replace a section of the photograph to another section of the same photo where it is either torn or damaged. It is usually helpful in pictures with patterns, where you can copy a pattern from one part and easily paint the copied pattern to the other part of the photo. Finally, the red eye tool is another simple and important tool that you will learn in this lecture. It helps to remove the red eye trouble that is common while shooting photographs in a dark or indoors. With red-eye tool removing or reducing the redness in the eye is just a click away from you.
Here, we will take you through the Gradient tool that looks quite interesting to the beginners. With the help of the gradient tool, you will learn about using colors to blend with one another and form a color pattern to enhance the look and feel of your design and images. You will initially learn to combine two colors to form a gradient. Later we will teach you to create a gradient with more colors and how to gain control over colors in adjusting the level, shade, and opacity of the colors. We will teach you how to create and save gradient styles of your own and also exploring the gradient libraries and appending them to the existing gradient window.
At the end of the course, we will quickly take you through an exercise file where you can put the tools to use. The exercise helps you to check the practical usage of the tools explained in the earlier chapters while you are working. You will learn how to edit an image with the tools.
