Overview

This course will provide you with an in-depth knowledge of the key aspects of accounting within a global business environment. You will learn how to effectively measure and maximise organisational performance using the latest tools to make profitable and ethical decisions. You’ll experience a practically focused approach to teaching which will equip you with both the skills and knowledge required by today's employers. You'll have access to external business professionals and industry bodies through guest speakers, entrepreneurial events and company visits.

Description

This course examines various types of financial checking and control with an emphasis on the digital world, including methods of raising finances and managing financial risk. You’ll also focus on the preparation and understanding or financial statements and the global environment in which financial standards are applied.

The course covers the following core modules:

  • Corporate Finance
  • Corporate Reporting
  • Strategic Management Accounting
  • Research Methods, Professional Development and Dissertation / Project

Students will also choose one of the following elective modules:

  • Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility
  • Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Global Auditing and Assurance

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at those with a strong numerical background who are seeking to pursue, advance or switch to a career in Global Business Accounting.

Requirements

2.2 or above from a UK Bachelors degree in a numerate area (e.g. Accounting, Finance or Business with Accounting or Finance).

An English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
