Description
LGBTQ+ is an acronym used to describe lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, and other persons or the community. The LGBTQ+ acronym is by no means a comprehensive term, but it operates as an umbrella for all orientations and identities that imply that a person isn’t strictly heteronormative or straight.
Although workplaces are becoming increasingly diverse, sadly, many LGBTQ+ people in the UK still choose not to disclose their sexuality at work for fear of homophobia, exclusion or in case they are overlooked from promotion opportunities. They do not feel included.
Having an inclusive and LGBTQ+ friendly workplace culture will not only help employers attract a diverse set of talent but will also help them to retain the diverse talent that they have attracted in the first place.
In order to complete the course, you must achieve 80% or more in the final multiple choice quiz.
You will earn 3 CPD points on completion of the course, this course will take around 3 hours to complete and the certificate will last for two years.
