Effectively use and understand verbal and non-verbal communication;
- Identify and describe the four main participation structures that guide ;communication in ways expected by the class, including their advantages and disadvantages;;
- Identify the differences between how a teacher uses communication and how a student uses communication;
- Select general learning goals for their students;
- Develop educational objectives using cognitive or behavioural approaches;
- Enhance student learning by using a variety of resources for goals;
- Create links between curriculum goals and students’ prior experiences for success of instructional goals;
- Gain an understanding of the different environmental influences that can affect a student’s motivation to learn;
- Understand the theories of behaviourism, self-efficacy and self-determination and how they relate to a student’s motivation;
- Explain and understand how personal achievement goals and personal interests affect a student’s motivation;
- Incorporate these different theories for motivation in the classroom;
- Develop the skills to become an additional support function in the classroom
