This qualification is suitable for Learners from age 16 and who are in a supervisor or junior manager role. There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, but as a Learner you will ideally need to be working within an organisation or role where they can demonstrate skills and apply knowledge. Alternatively, you could draw on previous experience within an organisation or use an organisation you are familiar with.
There are several units within this qualification with a value of 40 TUT (Total Unit Time) hours or more, any one of these units can be selected as an individual unit to achieve the Award. If you would like to achieve an Award using a combination of ‘lesser value’ units to meet the threshold of 40 TUT hours, there will be an additional charge of £150 inc VAT per extra unit chosen.
After you have purchased this qualification, you will automatically become a studying member, and upon completion will be eligible to become an Associate member of the CMI with all of the resources you need through the CMI Management Direct Portal.
How do I buy the combination of units I wish to study?
It is easy! Simply buy either the Award, Certificate or the Diploma. Add to basket and check out.
We will discuss with you your combination of units after you have purchased. You will select these on the registration form as part of the registration process.
You will get the opportunity to discuss these with your tutor who will advise you on the best combination going forward. You may already know which ones you wish to study, however we allocate the units as you progress through the course giving you the flexibility of being able to change your options. After all, you may change job or get a promotion that requires a different set of skills to be fine-tuned resulting in a different combination of units to be studied.
Award – Learners must complete at least one unit to a minimum of 40 TUT hours
Course Assessment
Assessment is normally via practical work-based assignments provided by your Approved Centre. This ensures you minimise time away from work and that you undertake work study which is relevant to your own organisation’s context.
Learners may also wish to further their ongoing personal and professional development by accessing other CMI qualifications, such as the CMI Level 5 Qualifications in Management and Leadership with the goal of becoming a Chartered Manager.
Learners who are aspiring to a management role may progress to the job roles such as:
