Overview

This NVQ Assessor’s course is designed for individuals who need to assess competence in the work environment. The course will teach you how to plan and carry out an assessment. By its conclusion candidates achieve a nationally accredited assessing qualification.

Description

The course is run over two classroom days at our centres in London and Manchester. The entire theoretical unit is completed on this day which leaves no written work after the course. Instructions are given out on how to create a portfolio based on assessment plans, evidence and feedback.

The third and final day requires an observational visit. One of our experienced teachers will come out and observe you carrying out two assessments on two different employees. We will also check that your portfolio is sufficient and provide help if required.

Who is this course for?

The level 3 assessing course is designed for anyone who carries out assessments on individuals within a working environment. Examples include beauty therapists, hairdressing schools, rail workers and roadway maintenance.

The qualification is suitable for those who are new to the role of assessing but also ideal for experienced assessors who need to obtain national accreditation.
