Description

This course is assessed by a series of assignments which are submitted to your tutor for marking. External assessment is required.

You will be required to complete 11 units:

  • Child and young person development
  • Equality, diversity and inclusion in work with children and young people
  • Schools as organisations
  • Communication and professional relationships with children, young people and adults
  • Develop professional relationships with children, young people and adults

Level 2 certificates are also comprised of both mandatory and optional units, including:

  • Safeguarding the welfare of children and young people
  • Help improve own and team practice in schools
  • Support children and young people's positive behaviour
  • Provide displays in schools
  • Supporting learning activities
  • Supporting Assessment for learning

Yes, you will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement, as you need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.

How long does it take to complete?
