Overview

This qualification is designed for those learners wishing to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a CCTV Operator in Public Space Surveillance. This qualification is based on the relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications and is supported by Skills for Security, the standards setting body for the security industry and the SIA, which regulates the private security industry.

There are two exams and a practical trainer assessment of your ability to use the equipment. Course content –

You can retake an exam twice. This is an exam board policy. So you get three attempts.

Daisy, All SIA licences (badges) are valid for 3 years. You renew them after 3 years but do not have to train again.

Hi, Sorry we can only provide training for you on the scheduled dates on the calendar, which are January 12th to 14th. We cannot schedule a course for one person at other times.

Hi, Our regular courses are in the classroom. We have taken all safety advice on board - eg we now have a room that can seat over 100 people for training but only have about 10 people on a course so that we can socially distance. We can do CCTV courses online if there are a group of people wanting this. How many of you are there?
