Overview

This course at our Technology Training Centre in Aston, Birmingham is aimed at employees who are familiar with basic hydraulic and electro-hydraulic principles and are required to have a more in depth understanding of how proportional control systems work. It is a useful course to develop an understanding prior to operating, maintaining and programming PLC systems and will cover theory aspects as well as practical exercises to demonstrate the underlying principles.

Course content:

  • Hydraulic theory recap
  • Principles of Flow Control
  • Construction and operation of Proportional Spool Valves
  • Electrical solenoid theory
  • Proportional system control

By attending the course, delegates will:

Develop an understanding of the principles of proportional hydraulic components, systems and control. A useful lead in course prior to operating, maintaining and programming PLC systems

Pre-requisites:

Delegates should ideally have

  • Basic understanding of Hydraulics and Fault Finding
  • Be familiar with Electro Hydraulic Systems (ideally level 2)

Assessment:

No assessment but delegates receive a certificate of attendance
