This unit is designed to enable you to develop a sound understanding of the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by human resources (HR) professionals, whether in a generalist or specialist role, and as described in the CIPD HR Profession Map (HRPM). The unit embraces the 'thinking performer' perspective and covers the competencies needed by the HR professional in a personal capacity, when collaborating and working with others, and when functioning efficiently and effectively in an organisational context. Structure of Qualification

To achieve an Intermediate Award in Human Resources, you need a total of between 3 and 12 credits. The Intermediate Award in Developing Professional Practice has 4 credits.

Who is this course for?

As all the units form part of the Intermediate Certificate / Diploma in Human Resource Management, you can also use your Award to work towards meeting the knowledge requirements for CIPD professional membership by taking additional units to achieve the full Intermediate Certificate or Diploma.

On completion, you'll receive a CIPD Intermediate Award in Human Resources.

Requirements

This is a Level 5 programme and is equivalent in level to the second year of an undergraduate degree programme.

The Intermediate Level Awards in Human Resources are for those who:
