To improve students' reading, listening and comprehension skills and to develop their ability to discuss a variety of topics at an advanced level.

Ein Kurs für Fortgeschrittene (Europäischer Refernzrahmen C1). Wir diskutieren Kultur wie z. B. Filme und Literatur und erweitern den Wortschatz und die Grammatikkenntnisse !

Students should have a very good command of German, equivalent to at least A-level standard.C1

It is also essential that you have knowledge of more complex grammar terminology such as: the subjunctive, the conditional, the dative, the accusative, subordinate clauses and conjunctions.

- improve discussion skills on a wide range of mainly cultural topics relating to Austria, Germany and Switzerland

- improve your advanced German grammar and extend your vocabulary.

The course is based on the communicative approach:

- active students’ interaction

- emphasis on speaking and listening skills

- pair and group work

- role plays

- use of realia, pictures and authentic material

- use of audio-visual techniques when appropriate
