Overview

Absorb offer 3 versions of the GCSE Maths course. These are the GCSE Maths Edexcel, GCSE Maths AQA and IGCSE Maths from Edexcel.

This allows the widest possible range of exam centres and assessment types.

GCSE Maths is a fundamental building block of education. You will cover core mathematical concepts like numbers, equations, sequences, geometry, vectors and statistics.

In a 2013 Ofqual commissioned report it was found that:

"GCSE grades are viewed as a benchmark and an indicator of the candidates' ability to learn and perform tasks, as well as an indicator of their intelligence, competence and ability. They are a standard measure which is familiar to employers. To some extent, when employing school leavers, there is little else to go on."

Please note, you will need to arrange your own exams with an exam centre. The exam centre will charge a fee; this should be in the range of £150-180.00, depending on the exam centre. Some schools and colleges are happy to take private candidates for the exams.
