Module 01: Introduction to Workplace First Aid

In module one, we will explore the role of a first aider and in the workplace. We will also familiarise with first aid equipment and the process for recording an incident.

Module 02: Legal Framework for Workplace First Aid

In module two, we will learn about key legislation such as The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and The HSW Act 1974. We will also deepen our understanding of RIDDOR regulations and the duties of the employer.

Module 03: Incident Management at Work

In module three, we will gain an in-depth understanding of emergency first aid procedures at work, including the dos and don’ts of handling emergencies. It covers fire, electrical and water emergencies in detail, with step-by-step Theoretical training.

Module 04: Health and Safety at Work and the Laws

In module four, we will explore the cost of poor health and safety practices/measures in the workplace, taking an in-depth look at relevant law, legislation, penalties and enforcement.

Module 05: Managing for Health and Safety

Module 15: Basic First-Aid Techniques

In module fifteen, we will familiarise with the contents of the first aid kit and some basic techniques.

Module 16: Dealing with Minor Injuries at Workplace

In module sixteen, we will explore some common minor injuries that can occur in the workplace, with best practice guidelines on how to treat burns and scalds, what to do when someone is experiencing an allergic reaction, and other key topics.

Module 17: Secondary Illness: Loss of Responsiveness and CPR

In module seventeen, we will learn what to do in the case of an unresponsive and breathing casualty, as well as an unresponsive and not breathing casualty, with step-by-step training for infants, children an adults.

Module 18: Secondary Illness: Breathing Problems

In module eighteen, we will explore a range of common secondary illnesses, gaining an in-depth understanding of breathing problems such as asthma attacks, choking, drowning and hyperventilation.

Module 19: Secondary Illnesses and Injuries

In module nineteen, we will broaden our understanding of some secondary illnesses and injuries, such as bleeding, diabetes, poisoning, and shock, with guidance on best practice procedures.

Module 20: Call for an Emergency

In module twenty, we will learn what to do in the event of an emergency, including information on the different types of emergency services and guidance on when to call emergency services.
