Description

The Diploma in Human Resource Management is designed for learners who have gained a considerable degree of subject knowledge and proficiency from undergraduate studies, experience within the workplace, or both. The approach to study is essentially one of self-direction, critical reflection and exposure to situations where individuals can evidence learning through presentation, seminar delivery, group work and interactive discussion groups.

Participants are encouraged to apply knowledge and to show a critical awareness of current management situations and problems. Assessment strategies in the units have been designed to allow students to evidence practical skills of data management and manipulation, synthesis of ideas in application, and to communicate outcomes to others in different HRM situations.

Equivalences

This qualifications at Level 7 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to Masters degree level.

Qualification structure

This Diploma in Human Resource Management consists of 6 mandatory units for a combined total of 120 credits.

  • Leading, Managing and H.R Development- 20 Credits
  • Resourcing, Talent Management and Development- 30 Credits

Requirements

Learner must fulfil at least one of the following criteria to be allowed entry to the qualification:

Academic Qualification

  • Possession of Level 6 diploma or Bachelors degree or any equivalent overseas qualification

Or

In case of no formal education, learners can gain entry on the basis of workexperience.

  • Learners having 5 years of work experience or more are eligible in case of no formal educational qualification.

Career path

Upon successful completion of learners will be eligible to gain entry to Master's degree Top Up or pursue a Level 8 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership.
