Description
Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) is a part of the Mental Capacity Act (2005). Deprivation of Liberty, also known as DoLs, and/or safeguards, aim to protect people in care homes and hospitals from being inappropriately deprived of their liberty. The DoLs or safeguards have been put in place to make sure that a care home or hospital only restricts someone's liberty safely and correctly and that this is done when there is no other way to take care of that person safely. This course covers the rules and planning need to ensure compliance and understanding.
This course is available fully online or as a half day course with guided learning hours of 3 and available nationally through our approved instructors.
The content of this and all our courses have been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence-Based Learning statement.
