Outline

FRS 102 is based on some aspects of IFRS requirements but still retains many aspects of the original UK GAAP treatments with other treatments sitting half way between old UK GAAP and IFRS. Despite significant progress towards conversion over recent years many significant differences remain and will continue to remain between the accounting requirements of IFRS and US GAAP and therefore between FRS 102 and US GAAP. Many organisations find themselves having to convert their FRS 102 financial statements to US GAAP for both internal management and statutory reporting purposes.

Through a series of Excel based practical case studies, this half day workshop demonstrates the conversion of a set of FRS 102 accounts to US GAAP.
